Arcade Scores Update

Arcade

I updated the arcade scores page with some new scores that were emailed to me, as well as one of my own.  If you have scores(for any arcade game) you’d like to see here, just email ‘em to me with a screenshot(same size as is already posted plz). Feel free to include any additional info about your score that you want posted. Gonna try to get some replays posted soon too.

Currently I’m working on ESPRa.de. and ESPGaluda. So far I have not 1cc’d either game.  Feeling pretty good about stage 1 on galuda. Averaging 1.2mil. on that stage. plenty of room for improvement, but not too bad. Stage 2+ still feels a bit hectic to worry about maximizing score though, but I’m going for 1cc’s first. I’ll worry more about the scores after that. Should be able to continue making good progress now that I’m hitting the extra life at 4mil, and found the “secret” life near the end of stage 3. Haven’t played Ra.de. in a while.

Ugh!

Harley

Went out for a ride on Monday, and my motorcycle died. Looks like the tranny siezed. Not sure what’s going on yet though. Luckily we weren’t moving too fast… This will mark the third problem with my tranny. The first time was 2 years ago. I had ridden to work, and when I came out to leave, my bike was surrounded by a huge puddle of transmission fluid. It turns out that the 5th gear had slipped loose from where it was pressed onto the shaft(fifth gear is pressed onto the main shaft that runs all the way through to the primary belt pulley). This caused the shaft to cock over a bit from the belt tension, which in turn caused the pulley to grind away at the transmission case until it ground completely through and proceeded to drain my fluid all over.
The second time was caused by faulty repair work by the shop on the first problem. I had ridden to Berekley with a friend. We came home a little after midnight, cruising about 90mph all the way. Thankfully nothing happened then. The next morning I went to go ride, and I couldn’t move my bike. the tranny had the rear tire locked up, so I couldn’t even roll it out of the garage. Had that tire locked up the night before, …

The shop of course repaired that one for free.

This time I have a feeling it’s gonna be quite expensive. I heard a nasty metal on metal *clanging* when it happened. With the bike off and in first gear, rocking back and forth revealed the noise coming from the primary/transmission.

We were in downtown RP when it happened, right down the street from a reputable bike shop that just happens to be open on Mondays(most bike shops are closed Sunday and Monday). I haven’t been in that shop before, so we’ll see how they do.  Depending on how it goes, I may take the opportunity to change to an open belt primary, just cause they look so damn cool.
